We only
create patterns from pictures that are e-mailed to us.
When scanning pictures, much of the quality between the picture
and the transformation to the pattern is lost, which usually results
in less satisfaction. If we receive a picture that we do not feel will convert into a pattern that you will be satisfied with, we will contact you and make modification suggestions. If you
choose to submit a black and white picture, please keep in mind that
the finished pattern will not include any colors.
It will only include shades of black, white and gray. You also
have the ability to add two pictures together to create one pattern.
When doing so, please specify how you would prefer the pictures
be laid out. This is a
convenient option since you may have two favorite pictures that you
want to combine for one simple pattern. The
background in your picture can also be removed.
This is recommended when using fifty colors or less in your
pattern. When you are
using fewer colors, the background can use up some of your colors,
taking away from the actual picture.
For example, a picture taken at the beach will tend to use many
colors to create a life-like “water” effect in your background.
By removing the background, all fifty colors will be included
in the actual picture.
